Default ever been attacked

have any of you ever been attacked by an underwater spicies in particular?
One of my friends got attacked by an eel once during one of our dives, it realy freaked him out for a while because apparantly it realy hurts.

No, not to this day and i hope that i'll never be although i know that it has a great chance of happening, the more you dive , the more you expose yourself to this kind of incident

I'd be interested in hearing of someone who would of been attacked by a shark for instance. to see and hear if his view of the sea and of diving was affected or if he still dives as before normaly...

I got stung by a porteguese man-o-war in Fiji. (jelly fish on steriods). Thing nearly killed me. I guess my body had a reaction to the sting, which didn't really hurt... it just itched a little. My body went into a muscle paralysis, basically felt like the worst flu ever minus the vomitting. I went to see a doctor when I got back to the states and he said, I was close to death. He explained that in some cases this reaction causes the heart to over exert itself, rupture and then you're dead. Fortunatly I was in decent shape and could handle it, but what the doc. said didn't make me feel very good. Scared me. But i'd still go and dive again, I'll just wear a full suit to cover up a bit.

geez that must of been scary.I'm always very worried about jellyfish when i dive, i got stung once and realy did blow up, i wasn't all taht close to death like you but it wasn't very pleasant and it( took a few days before i got back to normal. Not a very good souvenir
