Default Age question

What is the age cap for engaging in diving. I am going but so is my dad and mom since they have retired and would like to engage in some of my activities as well as a family

I think it greatly depends on you ( or them for this matter )
When you dive you are consistantly under pressure and so if your body is not strong enough to take pressure I would not suggest it.
I think you better check it up with your family doctor before doing anything.

yeah exactly. It isn't realy a question of age, but of physical condition mostly, of course the pressure can be bad on very old people which doesn't mean they can't scuba drive though!

I think scuba diving would be the best diving method for people of a certain age, it's easy to be initiated to and you don't need the best physical condition too, well you do need a minimum. Also many elder people do not like the cold and find scuba diving very nice as it's often in hot water streams i've noticed.

Guess, it just depends on how fit they feel and what kind of stamina they still hold at that age. Afterall, there is no age at which the fun in life ends!!

I think age matters because prerequisite to diving is physical fitness. I don't think the older people can cope with the strenous activities of diving not unless "light diving" for fun.
