I assume you just got back from Aruba?. Glad to hear you had a great time. I always like the last place I dove the best. But then I always had short term memory problems since that Greatful Dead concert in '70......Oh, yeah great dives. I am in love with French Polynesia. 120ft vis, 78 degree water, beautiful reefs and sharks galore. Black tip, white tip and lemon sharks on every dive. I'll have to find one picture of a shark that broke out of a pack of 13 that were circling me and came right at me! I got off a blurry picture as he turned away. I was on a wall taking a picture of a lion fish on a shelf and I looked down and sticking out of a hole in the wall between my legs was a moray eel! Wow! There was more...a lot more but you get the idea. We stayed on an island with 350 people on it. I loved it and if I win the lotto I'm going back.

I was reminded of Tahiti because my last dive this past Sunday was at the quarry. Vis was at a season record of 25ft and temp was a balmy 48 at 68ft. It just reminded me of Tahiti! Yeah, Right but it was a dive and I loved it too!

I am with Glynneco, you have a lot a places to try out yet. Roatan is one of my favorites. I just returned from Grand Cayman, thats where a lot of my pictures came from. I will get Roatan pictures and Bahama pictures up in the near future. Diving depends on what you like. Like to two of you I like sharks, I also love macro (very small stuff) I can watch the smallest thing you can see not move almost the whole dive and be happy as a clam. One dive stands out in Roatan, the locals call it Calvins Crack. You dive down to 70 to 80 feet and drop one at a time into the swim through it opens up at 100feet and has a fabulous wall. I would do this dive most of the week it they let me. I also just finished a dive at a local quarry and vis was very good up to 20feet and it was warm enough I could wear a 3mm. I played with the bluegill and catfish, my dive buddy and I had a great time.

3mil? 20ft vis? in a Quarry? We call that blue water diving!!!!!

Yeah, My last out of the country dive trip was Cayman. I went out of the East End with Ocean Frontiers. It was wonderful. My oldest daughter took a resort course with them and we were able to do two dives together. It was a great moment to be able to share the scuba world with my daughter.
