Default Cincinnati Dive Shop

I have been diving for about 12 years now and am interested in getting my wife certified. I am new to the Cincinnati, OH area and was wondering if anyone had a good dive shop to recommend? Any insight is appreciated. Thanks for your help!

I have not worked with any shops in Ohio.

If I would look at the shops, first look how clean and organized are they. Do they have there own pool (more class options). Do you get along with the staff are there policies easy to understand?

Next and very important as much as you love the sport and want your wife to join you is this her idea too. I have only had three students quit in four years. All spouses who were pushed into it. If she wants to learn take her to the shop and let her meet the people she will work with.

Different organizations teach a little differently, PADI, NAUI, SSI, and YMCA, the YMCA is the longest and a lot more swimming involved. SSI does not teach tables but computers are used and you will have to purchase one for her certification. PADI is the largest organization and referrals are accepted world wide. NAUI is probably the second largest.
