We're newly certified divers looking to take a vacation and wondering what the opinions are of diving Grand Bahama island. We're looking for a vacation that has equal parts of great under water and above water experience. Suggestions anyone? Thanks!!

i was in freeport once only. it was back in `97. i dove quite a bit. sorry i do not remember the outfit. it was a small independent shop run by a guy named Presley. the one thing i would recommend is doing the shark feeding dive if you are up to that. there was an outfit there called "unexso" i believe. they ran the big dive shop. they run they dolphin and shark programs. check them out online. unfortunately i seem to remember that there was not a heck of a lot to do in freeport besides shopping. maybe things have changed. Nassau is the bigger attraction (paradise island). hope this helps a little.
