I am looking for advice for my first BC purchase. I have worn a Seaquest Latitude BC and I liked it. I prefer the Jacket/Vest style for surface floating. But I don't know much about Mares. I know they are an italian company. Any input in regards to The Mares Vector 1000 vs. The Sequest Latitude would be appreciated. They seem very similiar. Is Mares produce a good product? What about warranty service?

I prefer jacket also. The biggest difference is the area the low pressure hose how it connects and dumps. My divemaster swears by the jacket. When I did equipment exchange with him it took me no time to figure out how to use the jacket. I wear the Seaquest and have used it a while, I like the ease of its use.
