Default New diver looking for scottish location

Whilst holidaying in Madeira recently, I was bitten by the "suba bug" which was coolest thing I've ever done!!!! I'm now looking to continue my PADI training back here in Scotland. Does anyone have experience of a good training centre and/or good locations for diving sessions? Thanks, Deborah

Glad to see you, welcome to the board. Hopefully some of our members on your side of the pond can help you out. Did you do the full open water, or a "resort" course?

Thumbs up New diver looking for scottish location

Great to hear from you.....I took a resort introductory course but I was so taken by the experience, I forgot all about the suntan and booked in for another couple of fun dives instead!

Unfortunately we ran out of time to take the PADI open water course so now I'm back home, I'm looking for a good training centre in and around the area I live (Perth).

I am prepared for the waters here to be a few degrees cooler that Portugal but I'm sure I'll forget that when once underwater.

I just love it and my only regret is I didn't pursue this years ago. So much so that I'm giving thought to perhaps one day training as a scuba instructor.... having spent years as an elementary teacher, maybe I can transition from teaching children in class to teaching them underwater!

Believe me, that's the last thing you are going to forget underwater. I'm not familiar with the conditions where you are, but a drysuit might be in order right from the start.
