We, like all good Rec divers, are gonna bust the Golden 130 foot rule so we can land on the flight deck. We're going to hit the flight deck for a couple of pictures and then we're going to go back above 100 feet and stick around there. Just spoke to a guy that has made 4 trips there this year and he said all the marine life and "good stuff" to see is above 100 feet. Flight deck is resting comfortably at 137 right now. Leaving in the morning. The excitment is creeping in.

Have fun on deck. Share pics when your back. If you have little history of the wreck that would also be cool.

Nitrox, Vegas I glad your taking the course.

MgicTwnger, if you recall from your training in Nitrox, its using a gas any where from 22% to 40%. Then after that you talking trimix. So, in order for you to use and understand the effect of the gas your breathing even at a Chicago mix 28% boost, you had to have Nitrox training. I dove the Chicago mix when I dove the Milwaukee Car Ferry. I know people believe the feeling better is a myth but I do feel better. I think it is real effect, I not dumping as much nitrogen in my system. So, say what you what regarding the effect, real or not, I know the difference in how I feel.

We are back and it was AWESOME!! I don't want to highjack this thread, so I'll just say it was blast. We did hit the flight deck (it is at 137) and took a few pictures.. As soon as I can get all the pics resized and loaded on my personal website, I'll put a link to it in another thread.

Aw, hijack away. I'm interested in knowing your mix & profile. And anxious to see the pics.

LOL.. I just put a report in the General Discussion forum. Don't want to take anything (more) away from Vegas' question.

Default Why I use Nitrox just as an FYI

I read the reasons for why most people say they use Nitrox and totally agree but one very important factor why I tend to use it is the saturation effect. After a days diving with Nitrox my nitrogen levels are lower therefore I am not so completely exhausted. It makes a big difference. When you dive the same dive and can see you had about the same work load with roughly the same energy in the beginning you will notice a huge difference in how tired you are at the end of a dive
