Default ow... where can i get a good deal?

I have recently put togeather a rig on a shoe string budget... i got lucky a friend was upgradeing... but how can i get my OW on the same budget?? i live in south florida most classes i have seen run from 250-800 for a persoal class... i have 3 friedns that all want to get certified if anyone is an instructor and willing to instruct a class of 4 on a budget i would really be grateful

Does your college offer training? That would be the cheapest way and you could get college credit (2) hours. If not, check with the ymca, last you could check the certification agencies. PADI, SSI, NAUI, and YMCA websites might be able to steer you and your friends to someone who could help. Sometimes PADI offers a bring a friend program. Other then that keep in mind you are about the enter a sport similar the skiing in gear and cost.

Right on the money there. Some LDS have deal on used equ. that have been used by students taking their classes, some of the stuff is like 1/2 price. As for the class. I'm in Ontario, Canada. and I have found that for the most part all the coures are about the same in class thats compairing PADI to a PADI. I did the ACUC and all prices in my area were the same.
