Default Scuba Hand Signals

Is there some where here that has pictures of the hand signals which divers use? I think I already know the signal for Shark but what are the others? Is there a scuba book you guys recommend? like is there a Scuba for dummies?

I would check out www.seasigns.com - it is a communications course for divers based on the American Sign Language. We teach the class by internet video or person to person. Becareful of the shark sign. If you do it to a person who is either deaf or know ALS you are really insulting them.

Any questions please PM me

Becky

Thanks for the help, I had no idea I was saying something bad with the hand sign for shark. I will use the one from the website.

That sign is world wide. We've all used it. If someone does know ASL they might take it wrong or hopefully they would explain not a good idea.

Seasigns is a fun course. Upon completion the diver is given a tag for your BC so you are recognizable.

You can pick up a Certification book at any Dive shop. The book comes in paperback or DVD. Both have many hand signals in them.
