I get so wrapped up in the moment, the only thing I can think about is diving.... the cool stuff I'm seeing, etc. The closest I get to thinking about stuff on the surface is when I say to myself...."there is nothing else in the world I'd rather be doing right now." and that is as far as I go. When I resurface, then I begin to think about all the life stuff, but when I'm "down there" I'm a fish.

I with Scuba Germ I'm in the moment. Speaking of music I have been in a quarry in Southern Illinois. The owner has it wired up so to speak. He can pipe in music and has done so while diving, its very cool and you can hear it even with a hood on. He has the system set up in case of emergency they can do a dive recall to the surface. Proud Mary underwater Rock on. The place is Mermet Springs just in case you want to check it out. BTW one of my divemaster will sing to himself, then you'll hear me giggle at him.

I completely cut off the real world. I think of music, i actually start ot sing and i have found i get better air consumption when i do. I also get caught up in the moment of what that fish is doing, or the like. Sometimes I think of close friends and family. Just depends.

As for me, i just enjoy the moment and feel like the luckiest one on earth to be able to do this and explore a new world. I even created a new silent sign for "smile" because my instructor always "complained" that he could hear me giggling underwater

I was there when the owner (Glen Faith) finished setting up the thing and without warning Pink Floyd was blairing. I was cruising along with about 10' of viz in dark green water. Surreal!

There is a quarry that we use for training that fitted a christmas tree on the fuselage of an aeroplane during the Christmas holidays. It played Jingle Bells non-stop all day and every day. I was amazed at how clearly it could be heard everywhere in the quarry.

I really hate that tune now!!
