Are there added precautions that you must take if you are female?
I am thinking of staarting this with my GF but she insist that I research on the things first before I do anything

The answer is NO!
But generally women have smaller lungs than men so this means they breath slower. But thats not much of a problem in most cases. The next could be upper body strength as women tend to be less muscularly build.

Other than that, never dive when you are pregnant. Which should be common sense...

Nice for an adventurous holiday with your GF. I surely would consider to go this wild some day

Well Naid, women are as good swimmers and divers as men. And anyways, what kind of a boyfriend are you if you cant take care of her if anything happens!!

Women right now are advocating gender equality. Just like men, you expect women to do good in diving, if not better . Having your somebody with you in diving makes underwater exploration much more exciting.

I am a woman and have been diving for over 15 years; on top of that i was a grat swimmer and got a lot of medals a few years back (don't have the time to go to the local pool anymore so only do it for the fun now). I remenber that we were 10 girls for 6 boys...so don't think we have anything to envy over men here!

There's no gender discriminition in diving. Women divers are as good as men divers. Lovers as diving buddies? That's cool. It improves bonding.

yes that's so true, diving is one of those rare sports everyone can do, without being in anyone else's shade, it's a shame we don't find more of those!
