Question from wt. belt to wt. integrated BC

I hope my questions aren't to tiresome! but I guess that's why
it's a "for beginners" forum

I've been using a weight belt for my confined water dives, but
will be switching to a weight-intergrated BC for O/W this weekend...
will this make much of a difference in anything?

[I should also go ahead and ask now if there is any kind of program available for treating addiction to this sport!! LOL]

Again its better to ask on the surface, then wish you had once you go underwater.

The difference is not that great. Make sure to understand how to pull the weight pockets and how they lock in. Most BCD carry trim pockets toward the back, them are meant to carry no more the two pounds, but it helps in distributing the weight and helps to offset the cylinder when it gets light toward the end of the dive.

Have fun this weekend and welcome to the diving ranks.

Have a great weekend. And no, I am afraid that there is no cure other than keep scratching the itch (and continue diving).
