After being reworked the $700 Billion bailout plan is now up to $850 Billion.
The new plan passed the Senate vote last night and the House is voting on Friday.

It includes several things including raiding FDIC insurance on bank accounts to $250,000, some tax breaks, a bunch of Christmas tree ornaments to help get more yes votes, and as I understand is basically designed to help get companies moving again since their ability to obtain credit and function properly is several impaired at the moment.
Being a confirmed anarchist, cynic, and generally apathetic to politics, I never get involved in anything.
However, this pissed me off enough to email my senators not to vote for this highway robbery.
Guess it didn't work. I'll just go back to looking for naked pics of Sarah Palin: her mind disgusts me, but what a MILF!

Bob Barr appeared on a local San Francisco news program and said that the first time around when congress didn't vote for the bill it was clearly because constituents were calling their representatives saying DO NOT VOTE FOR THIS bailout. The second time around Barr said that the financial industry folks hired people to call senators/congressmen urging them to say yes. So these people were jamming the phone lines calling people who weren't their representatives to try and get this thing approved.
So here it is approved and the DOW is still tanking. So that bailout is going to help nothing, and I'm forced to pay taxes (yet again) for something I neither want nor agree with.
