Default Bored at work, ask me questions!

Ok, so I'm bored at work.

I'm in the Navy on the east coast. If you've ever wanted to corner an officer in today's military to ask him anything about anything, now's your chance!

I promise I will answer questions in the most un-official way possible. And no, I can't tell you about Area 51, sorry.

You know - I live only a couple of miles from Area 51....since YOU brought it up, I think you should Unofficially let at least a little something slip.....

haha. I've never actually been. Is it as hush hush as the TV show's say? Do they have signs and what not everywhere?

I've never been out there myself - but, of course, I do have some "spooky" friends that claim to have crawled around out there past the fences, signs, and wire (or something like that)...they, of course, saw some weird stuff, and then were "chased away" by like a black jeep or something..... I don't really remember....
who knows?

Okay - you offered!
So tell me....why did you decide to join the Navy?

Oh, ya, ...and are you hiring any civilian, scuba-diving, paralegals for
under-worked, over-paid positions that involve helping
dive-buddy-lacking attorneys traverse the globe seeking the finest
in warm water scuba diving experiences?
Maybe?

Ok, really - why'd ya join?
I'm a curious girl.

LOL Vegas.. Nice try.. But, if you are looking for Paralegal work, the JAG office that works with me is always hiring during the year. (Headquarters Air Force Reserve Command located at Robins AFB) Of course, we're not on the coast or anything. We're right smack dab in the middle of GA. But, on the bright side, we're only 2 hours from the FL border and 4 hours from the Gulf Coast.
Ryan are you in VA? I've got my Wire Dawg about the PCS to the Norfolk area.

Great first question.

I joined first and foremost for an education. (of course, service to our country is always a reason for everybody) I enlisted after high school in 1999 in the nuclear power progam. Did well enough as enlisted, I went to the Naval Academy in 2002, graduating in 2006. I have 2 1/2 years left before my college payback is complete. I think I did okay with the education part.
