Default Christmas in the South

Two ways you can tell you are spending Christmas in the South:

1. You have to turn on your air conditioner while setting up your Christmas tree.

2. Decorating your house outside, you get eat up by gnats.

It was 80 degrees here this weekend. Although gnats suck, I'll still take this weather over a 2 foot snow bank, any day!!!

Give me snow...I want snow....I'm tired of high winds and rain....you don't get so wet when it snows and you can keep putting on layers when its snowing...you quickly run out of things to take off when its too hot (plus it can be embarrassing)

Not to mention, downright ugly in some cases.

The two ways that we know that it is Christmas here, south of the Equator is that we are enjoying temperatures as high as 92 degrees F with wonderfully seasonal rainstorms and the mosquitoes are happily serving us up for dinner with sprigs of holly.

I know that feeling.. I spent Christmas 1994 in Haiti.. Heat, rain, and skeeters abound. At least you can go home a few days prior to enjoy the real "Christmas-sy" weather of the gool 'ol UK.
