Really? Someone going for advanced that's nervous?
That's odd.

I'm helping teach a Rescue Class the 28th and 29th of this month. Those are always fun. I love being the "victim."

Hiya everyone

Just dropping by...got home from Hong Kong yesterday...absolutely fantastic time cruising around the Far East!

Manila, Kota Kinabalu, Bandar Seri Begawan, Singapore, Saigon, Da-Nang, Sanya & Hong Kong were all amazing places to visit. The weather was seriously hot and humid, seas calm as a millpond for the entire fortnight

2 things:

Thanks for the birthday wishes, Dale

The cruise was incredible, I did a cruise diary which is over on the cruise board. Asia is truly a beautiful and enchanting area of the world. I will be cruising in the area again next year...next time including Sri Lanka, UAE, Oman, India, Thailand, Indonesia, Korea, Taiwan and Japan

Can't wait til I go again...if you can get the time off and can get the pennies together, Asia is the place to go cruising within the next 2 years before the other cruise lines cotton onto it

One sad point is that whilst in Manila on June 9th, the ferry lost last weekend Princess of the Stars was in port. Losing such a large ship and so many people is really sobering as when I saw the ferries in Manila, I commented in the review that it seemed little wonder they were lost so often as they really are quite old and tired looking. little would I realise that a week later one of them would be lost in such awful circumstances

Hi di hi everyone

Hope that you are all well and have had a great summer....we didn't have one on this side of the pond again

Apologies for not dropping by before now, but I been busy getting things sorted on the cruise forum and also counting down the days til my long awaited trip to Houston. I fly out early Thursday morning and will be meeting up with Enrique & Lauren. It is a very special visit, as on Saturday next week, Enrique & Lauren are to be married, hence the reason why I cannot wait to get over there so that I can join them on their very special day

Seeing the damage caused by hurricane Ike first hand will be very sobering too, no doubt, but despite everything, life is slowly returning to normalcy and that is good to see. Thankfully it has not impacted the wedding plans, so it will be a chance to get together and have something positive to celebrate
