i've notice that most divers, i mean serious divers try staying away from the beach as much as they can.
Have you noticed this too? that divers don't tend to be beach lovers?

Not true with this diver... although I was a surfer long before a diver. I've spent countless hours at the beach. I still love it. If given the choice between surfing a perfect wave over diving the best spot on earth.... sorry, but i'd choose to surf the perfect wave. But that's not to say that diving isn't awesome... just a close 2nd for me. This still holds true after diving in Fiji and Hawaii.

I probably say that cause i have so much more experiance with surfing. Surfing sucks the first year or two, but once you are over that timeframe, you'll love the beach too.

i've always loved going to the beach too. I always try and avoid the heart of summer though and all the tourists. The crowd realy isn't something i find pleasent
