Talking Hello all!!!

Hey guys / gals, my name is Scott and I’m 17 or 18 almost anyway and I’m just getting into diving well I not in it yet but I will be soon, I’ve been reading the PADI book and now I’m waiting for my Scuba shop to get some pool time (there having trouble booking time at the YMCA) so as I wait I get more and more pumped up for SCUBA!!! And I’ve been lurking here for a while now so this is my Hello thread! I hope to meet some divers in my area oh and I live really close to the St Lawrence river near Brockville Ontario / 1000 Islands and I’ve herd good things about diving here and just makes me want to get out and dive more and more, Cheers Scott

Hi Scotty,

I meet a couple of divers from Canada. One guy went through his Instructor training course in Florida when I did, we had a great time he was cool to work with. The other guy was in my dive club in Chicago. He loved diving in Canada but commented as did my training buddy, you want cold water dive in Canada, it's warm down here. With the welcome, once you completed basic training I would highly recommend dry suit for Canada Diving.

Welcome, Scott!
Have they given you a day to get in the pool yet?
I must say that I felt the same enthusiasm about 60 days ago, as I was getting certified! -- so I believe it is only right to warn you....diving is unbelievable addictive. I am hooked. I have been told there is little hope for me.

I hope you will keep us posted on your progress!
