Default Hello from Iceland

Hi everyone,

I am essentially a beginner diver though I started diving over 9 years ago. I went for my OWD in Ontario, Canada, but had a really hard time equalizing. I tried a few things, visited a few doctors to determine if something could be done, but it seemed like nothing was going to help.

I have always been plagued with headaches and earaches but could never determine what was up. I usually attributed the headaches to stress. However, I recently determined that I am allergic to milk and have stopped eating dairy products entirely. Many of my headaches and earaches have virtually stopped.

With this change I took the opportunity to do a refresher course and dive in Mexico this past February. I went for it hoping all would be well and it was great!! I descended very carefully and had no problem with the pressure. I am excited to be able to dive without pain and am attempting to make up for lost time, trying to dive as much as I can!

Going diving in two weeks here in Iceland. So excited!

I am glad to have found this site and look forward to reading everyone's posts.
