Scubamin

Welcome to the board.

Looking forward to seeing the results of your new hobby!

I tried underwater photography a few years ago and it lasted the whole of one dive. Bought a new camera and housing for a trip out to the Red Sea got in for the first check out dive of the trip and on completion of the dive had no camera!

It is a long story and still too painful to recall. Needless to say, I am now a little camera shy.

If they are digital I would use a program and copy the set and reduce the size of the copies using some thing like picture manager. There are a few of us into taking pictures. I have been shooting for two years and I admit I am still learning.

Welcome to the Forum. I love u/w photogrpahy, but only do it as a hobby. You know, $200 camera, $200 housing. Nothing real nice. Will look forward to your pictures.

LOL!! Well, the wife just won a 7 mp digital at her business Christmas Party.. If I get a housing for it, then I'll only have 2-300 bucks or so in the whole setup. Of course, she has to feel the need to give me the new 7mp one first.

You will never get a setup as funky as mine:

Sealife film camera - a new "demo" I picked up for $26

Ikelite strobe - got it for nothing, paid $50 for Ikelite to fix it

Strobe arm I made from PVC scraps from the hardware store - $3

Looks like hell , but works fine.
