Default Hi From South East England!

Hi everyone,

I'm Sam (if the name didn't already tell you!) from the town of Horsham in the south east of England (about half way between Brighton and London). I'm 17, male and I'm just entering my second year of studying towards my A levels. I'm currently studying chemistry (hard), biology (interesting), geography (cool), music technology (a break from academic work) and phillosophy and ethics (part time). Also doing a GCSE in Spanish and retaking my Latin GCSE (got a D in it last time).

I've just finished my UCAS applications and I'm applying to study Oceanography and Marine Biology and I've applied to Southampton, Plymouth, Hull, St. Andrews and Bangor.

I've never properly dived, only snorkled off the coasts in Ireland (where my family come from) and Dorset. I've joined a diving group recently and I'm hoping to join the Southampton Divers (as that is my primary university) if I get in!

Hope this is a substantial enough introduction!

Sam

Hi Sam, welcome. There are fellows from you side of the pond in the group they will be able to give you a hand in what is needed to complete your certification.

I have responded to one of your questions already, but the depth limits are a little different for Europe, don't let that throw you, there are still limits to keep you safe.

No, not at Collyers, though a lot of my friends are (as I used to attend Forest) but I choose to go to Holy Trinity, which is even closer to you!

Thanks for the warm welcome! I'll be online relatively regulary, depending on the amount of work I have to do!
