Default so much to learn!!

Yup! I'm in no hurry!

There's so much to learn, to practice, to perfect...just where I am!
...and I've a looooong way to go!
I'm just taking my time, practicing skills, and enjoying every minute I can underwater!

Oh! I made my first attempt at shooting my DSMB from depth last weekend!
It went....OK.

I didn't shoot myself to the surface! - which is, of course, of upmost importance! and It arrived at it's destination just a little short on air...but ALMOST full.

The spool unrolled right in front of me in the water like it was suppose to (that is so cool!)...but in the process I dropped my double-ender ... my buddy spotted it and grabbed it for me though.
All said, I don't think it went too bad for my first attempt. -practice practice practice!

...and more good news! I've gotten really comfortable with my reel - running it out and back - I've put quite a bit of practice into that too. ...but always have room to improve!

Like I said....so much to learn...so much to practice...
I just love it!

The first time I shot a bag I got the line tangled in a fin and went for an upside-down ride to the surface. It took a long time to live that one down.

OMG!

I've heard that if something like that happens,
the appropriate emergency proceedure is to
scream profanity all the way to the surface
you know....to keep the airway open....

...and thank you for helping me not feel so bad about dropping my clip.

I surfaced next to a crowded dock at a qurarry where I hang out. The profanity just added to the crowd's amusement. I shut up quick.

No way to convince them you did that on purpose, huh?

oh man...I've seen how fast those things travel now....
that had to be one HELL of a ride.

I'm glad the only thing hurt was the pride.
(and I don't love you any less!)

I hope the subsequent "razzing" wasn't too harsh...
