Default Just to say hi

Morning all from a grey, cold, miserable English Friday morning As you can tell it's been too long since I've been underwater)
By way of introductin I'm PADI OW approaching my 4th anniversary from when the brilliant Claudia took me for my OW in the Maldives. Since then I've passed my 25 dives and am looking towards the AOW this year. Have only managed to dive in relative warm water but am told diving around the UK is great! look foward to participating in the forum. I have questions regarding my new dive computer and next destination but will post in appropriate place!

Hi. Actually talked to you via your question in the Equipments section.

Welcome to the forum. Hope to hear lots from you, especially a report on your upcoming holidays.

I can definitely recommend the diving in the UK. As an ex-Navy man I have dived in some fantastic places, but have a real love of diving around the UK especially wrecks. Do you have any UK dive buddies or access to any clubs that can arrange?

Hi from the Chicago area. It's pretty cold, wet, and miserable here too, and I won't be able to dive again till next weekend. Thank God for drysuits.

That's my next challenge, away from the warm water and into the North Sea/English Channel

That's on my wish list, too. As soon as I do all the countless wrecks in the Great Lakes.

Hey there! Welcome. Here in Wash DC we do a lot of quarry diving cold and low vis. The Chesapeake bay can be great with 0 vis. I was on an archealogical dive where we brought down baggies full of clear water to hold up against the object we were trying to measure and then press our mask on the other side of the bag in hopes of seeing the tape! Yeah! Have fun. Learn to dive anywhere and you get to dive MORE! It also makes blue water diving seem, well, tame. For instance in zero vis situations sharks will sometimes "bump" you to check you out. Cool huh? The worse the conditions get the better the stories are.
