Just started on getting my cert. after a lomg time of wanting to. Figured to keep myself from making the same mistakes everyone else makes i would try to get some of my questions answered by looking for the ones that have allready been asked.

Ah come on 33 isn't that old. I'm 30 and still feel like 18!

Old? Nah... you are as young as you feel, age does not matter.
If you're old, I must be ancient as I'm 43 and just got certified on Jun 4th! If I can do it, anyone can as I was terrified of the pool sessions to begin with. Thank goodness for great instructors. Mine was especially patient with me and gave me a tremendous amount of extra pool time so that when we went for our open water cert, I was totally comfortable.
