| No More Basic Black! Okay - I get a little crazy when I can't get in the water ..... all of you
know this about me.
So...It's 4th of July Weekend...and I'm eyeballing my wetsuits.
All Black. All of them. No color, Nothing. hmmmm.....
I'd been thinking about it.....mulling over it....
So I finally gave in and got started!
Here's the first round of painting - it's on my 3 mil, and only about
a third of the way done....but I LIKE IT! LOL!
I have to hang it to dry after I paint each section, so it's slow going.
...and there is definitely a "learning curve" to painting with those
"puffy paints" from the LDS (for marking gear). ....but here it is!
my work in progress!
Sorry the photos are pretty lousy - I took them with my phone in
not-so-good lighting...but I'm sure you can see where I'm going with the
design!
(oh - the red thing in the fourth picture is a balloon we used to keep the
suit in shape while I paint)

| There are colorful suits out there, just look around. My shop owner's wife has one in a leopard skin pattern.

| Leopard skin? I love it! it's just so...so.....VEGAS! LOL!
(I wouldn't wear it - but I love hearing about it!)
....but why buy? when I'm having so much fun making my own
"instant Super-hero" outfit! LOL! -- It'll be one of a kind!
(which isn't all that important to me - I'm just having fun!)
(maybe I should have posted under DIY - )

| I saw a guy last weekend in one of those leopard skin wetsuits.
In the interest of being accepting of all lifestyles and non-judgemental, I will keep my thoughts to myself.

| Wow! That had to be a heck of a sight to see!
That sounds like a taste of what it's like driving down the Strip these days...
The other day I saw three guys walking together...none wearing shirts,
each carrying two beers, Two wearing just towels tied around their waists
and flip-flops...the third? In a VERY fancy KILT, complete with the decorated
socks and fancy shoes....no shirt remember...and a hat to match the kilt.
Three guys just walking down the Strip together in Vegas....um....blending in with the crowd.
I'm telling ya, it's a strange world. ...and it's even stranger in Vegas.
At least once a week I'll see someone wearing some outfit or another,
and all I can think is, "that guy must have lost the bet". LOL!

| Love the self made look. At least with all the suits hung to dry you will also know yours.
I put colored zip ties around all my soft weights got laughed at but to this day I have not lost any more weights and the shop knows anytime they show up in there bins they belong to me. I mark all my stuff.

| Y'all know about Dive Goddess right? I thought they had a website, but it's not showing up on google. They are in every issue of Scuba Diving. There were a few of her skins/suits on my boat when when we dove the NC OBX a coupe weeks ago. I will say two things about them. They are BRIGHT!!! And she can make them BIG. So, anything you want, she can do it. I think they are more suited to the female gender, IMHO.
But, ScubaMama, I love your paint job.. That was two months ago.. Any updates on it or a finished product?
Vegas, what was he wearing under the kilt? That's the sign of a true Scottsman. |

| It may have been a few months ago but I still loved the paint job. I little like spider women. Vegas aka "Spider Women".
P.S. Spiders creep me out. One fall from the ceiling into my lap while I was driving. I think the guy behind me though I was nuts. I had trouble getting into the car after getting rid on the little thing.
