Question What special training or experience does a diver have to have to go cave diving

If a relatively inexperienced diver wants to go cave diving, what precautions need to be taken?

What can go wrong when cave diving?

How much experience is recommended to go cave diving for the first time?

In a nutshell, you can't go cave diving without the proper certifications which are:

Cavern - trained to go in a cave only as far as you can still see the entrance.

Cave - anything beyond cavern.

I'll leave it to cave divers (I'm not one) to expand on this. There are a surprising number of them here in the Midwest US.
