 Trip report
Hi guys!
I don't have time right now to give a full report (I guess I'm suppose to be working or something) but I wanted to let you know that I spent Friday and Saturday on a live-aboard called the Sand Dollar out in the Channel Islands.
What a great trip! We did 4 dives each day (we called the night dive - we didn't want to mess with the current that came up) and I got to see a bunch of different critters that I had never seen outside of an aquarium before! (A Moray Eel, Halibut, Giant Kelpfish, Horn shark, lobsters everywhere, one great big red crab and more different kinds of fish than I could even begin to list!).
The captain took us to some GREAT diving spots - gorgeous reefs and amazing kelp forests FULL of marine life - and a great time was had by all. Vis was good, and the weather was overcast but nice. When the sun did break through in the afternoon, and shone down through the giant stalks of Kelp, I felt like I was diving in a jungle - breathtaking and beautiful beyond words.
