Default holiday destinations

hi people

I am actually hoping that some kind soul will help me out here. I am planning to go on a trip alone but have nowhere in mind. Diving seems fun, anyone has any place to recommend?

Have a look here
http://www.fantasyislandresort.com/us/index.html

You will be amazed by the spots they have and also facilities they provide for the travelling diver.

The great barrier reef
A must do for any begginer or pro diver, plan a few days though as the longest I ever did over there was 4 days and it was way to short for all their is to see!

Fantasy Island is only "OK." The diving is good but not great and their isn't much to do besides dive and eat mediocre food. And all I wanted to do was dive. However, I wanted to shore dive in addition to the 3 scheduled boat dives a day, but no one in out group did and I couldn't find any strangers to go with me. Once I just hung out at the entry point until a group showed up. The times I waited around the dive shop seeking a buddy, I had no luck. Having to do it over again, I would still go, I just wouldn't go back.

If you do go, make sure you end up in the new rooms. The old rooms and remodeled rooms are REALLY run down. Sand Fleas are on the prowl. My daugther worn cactus juice and had more holes than a pin cushion. I wore DEET, but didn't reapply it the day I carried the gear back to the room and just taking the gear back after diving had washed off the DEET I had over 40 bites.

Food is plentiful, but boring and only mediorce -- unless you like fish. If you like fish, it is still repetitive but the fish is good.

Good value for the money though.
