Lightbulb Dutch Springs - diver killed while diving

An unidentified man died Sunday after going to Dutch Springs, a scuba diving park in Lower Nazareth Township, according to the Lehigh County coroner's office.

The man, whose name was not released because his family had not been notified as of Sunday night, was transported to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg, where he was pronounced dead about 12:30 p.m., said Paul Zondlo, Lehigh chief deputy coroner. An autopsy is scheduled for today.

Crews responded to Dutch Springs on Hanoverville Road about 11:30 a.m., Zondlo said.

For those of us from across the pond, this is a popular east coast dive spot located in Pennsylvania.
