The Chicago show was three days, Friday-Sunday.
In the world of new gear not much was out there to see. The show was more of an opportunity to catch up with people I had not seen in a while.
I did meet the driver of the Scuba Car, who is only 16 and one skinny guy.
They had the car at the show which was cool to look at.
There were your normal assortment of vendors, from dive organizations to manufactures to dive shops and travel reps from all over the world.
The Chicago Shedd Aquarium had some folks there and I am thinking of taking the photo class at the Shedd. Yes, the warm water tank. It's a cool opportunity for Chicago folks.
I did see the flip fins, still not real impressed with them. The rescue vest Omega had was neat. The mouth piece on the octo hose is not more then a 1/2 a small finger big. Just something to bite on and the pin inside releases air. The rep said it takes a bit of getting use too. I can see having something so small but a diver who is out of air, and can't figure out how to use the small piece, I can see things going from bad to worse fast.
A few quarries, one that a few of us dive at put in a real cool artifact search area. I will check it out this year, its at Heigh Quarry. I also saw a quarry in Ohio that looked like it would be fun for a weekend trip.
Happy Diving All.
