Question What is a 'live aboard' opposed to a dive boat

What are the chief differences and what are the costs involved tween a dive boat and a live aboard?

Good Question,

A dive boat will take you from the resort or shore line to a dive location and back generally in the same dive. Most costs are $70.00 us for a two tank dive. You use one tank on the first dive and one on the second (hence two tank dive).

Live-aboard- The boat is self sustaining, you live on board, dive from the boat, eat, sleep, shower, all the stuff you would do on shore but your on the boat. Most boats will have an itinerary and move from location to location. This means you can get out to spots much further from shore then if you were on a dive boat. Cost is ranges from $1000-3000 depends where you go, how long you stay, and the level of the boat.

A dive boat is a one or half day trip, not overnight.
Liveaboards are multi-day trips with sleeping accomidations, meals, air fills, and everything else included. Naturally they are considerably more expensive. They range from basic bunkhouse accomidations to real luxury. One thing they have in common: you can dive your brains out.
