Default The sound of Mull

This is a great area for a dive holiday, there is a dive centre at Loch aline that has everything a diver needs. They have air - trimix accomadation and there are dive boats you can charter, or if you have you own RHIB there is a free slip as well. There is also a club for a wee drink at night with prices straight from the 70s.

Hi ding, nice to hear from you again!

I am still out in bonny Africa and so my diving is being severely restricted. Back next week and I am hoping to get wet just before the year end

Have dived out of Loch Aline many times. We stay at the Old Post Office which is run by the Lochaline Dive Centre. It is just a couple of minutes walk from the Loch Aline Hotel where we have our evening meals and other refreshments The beach in front of the hotel makes an excellent training dive or even a night dive. It is an easy entry with a sandy bottom which shelves gradually off to a very steep wall. Lots of diverse sea life to be seen.

Have you ever eaten in the restaurant, The White House? I hear that the food there is Michelin rated.

For our 'run of the mill' diving we usually use the hardboat Silver Swift which runs out of Tobermoray. Excellent boat and skipper. We even stayed up in Tobermoray one time so to further extend the areas in which we had never dived. Fantastic!!

Of course, the highlight of the diving day has to be the lunchtime stopover for airfills and one of Jean's 'bambi burgers'

The only downside for Mull diving is the nine hour drive to get there but the stunning scenery more than makes up for it.

Default The loch aline dive centre

The loch aline dive centre is only 1 hr 50 for us so its ideal for a weekends diving. They have everything you need there as you know.
