Default Anyone diving this weekend?

It's pretty quiet around here, so I'll start a thread.

Where are you diving this weekend?

I'll be at Haigh quarry in Kankakee, Illinois, playing with my camera. In addition, the Chicago Meetup Group (a Yahoo meetup group), of which I am a member, is having a scuba flea market/swap meet on Sunday.

I never pass up a chance to get more crap to stuff in my gear bag.

Hahaha, it depends on your definition of diving.

I'm helping teach a Rescue Class this weekend. Not really diving, but wearing my gear and laying on the bottom of a nasty lake with 2 foot viz waiting for the 50/50 chance that I will be found by the students.
But, it's fun, so that's why I do it...

Hey Dale, I was suppose to be teaching a rescue but one of the divers hurt their back and class was rescheduled.

Make sure your wearing a wetsuit, sometimes it can take them a long time to find you.

a girl friend and I are going camping up in the mountains.
--- no cell phones, e-mail, co-workers, etc.

We're getting out of the City, away from the heat, men, and anything else
that can make ya crazy

They actually had a guy show up at the EFR on second night (blew off the first) with no work done, no manual, nothing prior to the class. The instructor, of course, told him to go home and schdule himself for the Nov class. I don't understand people.

Don't worry.. I'm actually using my 7mm, which is way too much for the quarry this time of year, but I have new gear and I want to try and get my weight right prior to my trip to NC in August. So, I'm figuring a 7mm in fresh water will need about the same as my 5/4/3 in salt. It'll get me in the ball park anyway.
