Default Getting Wet again

Hey everyone,

Like I posted in the intro forum - I'm new to the site - but dived for about 4 years about 5 years ago. I'm looking to get back into it. I need all new gear since mine got stolen (a sweet dive computer, BCD, reg, fins.) They left the weight belt lol.

Anyway, I'm looking for some motivation or easy way to get back in without buying everything. I'm in SoCal... any ideas or help?

Thanks!

I saw a news clip on Jade diving. Maybe you could go out diving and make money at the same time. I didn't get a chance when I was out there, seemed like it would be cool to try. I heard the trek and be a bit much.

Sadly, there is no cheap way to do it. You could rent gear and just fill you gear bag piece by piece. Or get a complete package from your local shop or one of the big web vendors and save some $$.
There is always used gear listed on diving boards, not so much here, but on Scubaboard or the Deco Stop.
And eBay rocks. I've gotten some terrific bargains there.
If I were you, my first things would be mask, fins, and life support stuff: reg and bc. The rest you can rent with minimal risk.
