As long as you follow your tables or computer, you can dive as often as you like.

Default "unhealthy" amount of diving

....for me,
through gentle intervention, and some tough love,

I have finally come to terms
with the fact that if I'm calling in sick to work so I can sneak off and go
diving more than once or twice a week it's probably "unhealthy".

LOL!

They say the first step is admitting I have a problem....

seriously though - MgicTwnger said it all...

I'm jealous. There is a diving team on my ship, and everytime we pull into places like South America or the Carribean, they all go and bring back some sweet pictures.

So get certified! You're wasting a great opportunity.

Default I agree!

Oh yes!
Get certified!
You clearly have the desire!

At our Local Dive Shop we often joke about the difference between
"dreaming the dream" and "LIVING the Dream" .....

Dave Barry said it the best:
“…when you finally see what goes on underwater, you realize that you've been missing the whole point of the ocean. Staying on the surface all the time is like going to the circus and staring at the outside of the tent. "
-Dave Barry

As for the original question, if I could dive every weekend I would. Unfortunately, with a 2 year old, one on the way and a non-diving wife, my times are much more limited than I would like.

For me I having teaching times and for fun times. The for fun times are less. Don't get me wrong I love teaching but having the responsibility of watching out for someone and just diving for myself is different. I have six weekends in a row of teaching. Dale I have a rescue class in the end of June, want to help? I love rescue too, its one of the few classes I teaching where I can play and make up stuff. Its a blast. I would dive everyday if possible but I only get weekends and not all weekends. On trips its all about the diving for me. I average 25 dives in a week. I don't dive real deep and use nitrox (a mixed gas) it allows me to stay longer at shallower depths.
