Default Random Question

Didnt know where to post this...

Does my open water certifacate run out ever?
Or Does it become unvalid if i havent dived for a year?

Pls help lol dont want to book my holiday and find i cant dive lol

i've never asked myself the question!!! Maybe i should look out for an answer to that one! In my head it's always been a lifetime thing, but maybe it isn't!

Once you're in.... you're in..... It's like the mofia.

I think dive operators want to see your card, and if you haven't dove in a long time they would suggest you take a "refresher" course to help remind you of certain things, or they will require you to dive with a Dive Master.

I don't think you're alone with the 1 year surface interval. Obviously you are a safer diver if you go out more frequently but for some that's just too difficult. Just make sure you review your materials for your own saftey. Have fun!

yes that's good to know. I thought it was a lifetime thing but i just wasn't 100% sure.It's like the driving license in some countries, some only need to pass it once

Once you get your c-card it is lifetime. Although i strongly suggest if you have been out of the water for a while and have any thoughts about getting a refresher you should take it.
