Question Scuba Diving Traditions??

This got brought up this morning in conversation..
When I soloed an airplane for the first time, they cut the tail off my shirt and all the instructors and my family signed it. So, we started thinking about scuba tradition..
One guy said it's tradition that you do your 100th dive naked. Anyone ever heard of that one?
What are some of the traditions you've heard of??

It depends if this is something we would want to see.

Frankly, I can't think of any traditions.

You are so right.. There have many a person on my dive charters that I DO NOT want to see naked. And, I'm sure they would say the same about me.. LOL..

Can't think of any.
My 100th no way was I going (free as a jaybird).
My 100th was one of my coolest dives, it envolved sharks and a natural feeding.

Maybe we can come up with one and start a tradition.

I don't know about the 100th but when I received my temp c-card one of my instructors gave me a small rock from the bottom of the quarry we had just emerged from all full of pea and vinegar. I still have the rock on my dresser. I see it every day and frequently pick it up and remember that day.

That's pretty cool.

Default personal traditions...

nothing like reviving an old thread!

......anyway....
I've heard that "100th dive naked" tradition....but I think it was a scam...LOL!

"local" traditions that seem to be taking a foothold here (if only among those closest to me) include:

1. the necessary Sushi dinner within 48 hours after diving....(usually take-out on the way home)

2. (& just mine) - each time I go diving in California, I try to bring back Just ONE tiny seashell for my mother.

anyone else?

I don't think I would dive naked! You could get bit or stung by something on your unmetionables. That would suck!

I just had a scary thought. Last year I buddied up with an instructor I met on the boat, a really fat (there's no other word for it) lady. Underwater she became perfectly round, with just little arms, legs, and head sticking out.
Naked???
