Default Scuba Santa!

Hi All!
Saturday, at our local Sport Chalet, they had a free "discover Scuba" class, that included a free photo in the pool with "Scuba Santa" next to his Christmas tree!

We thought such a photo would look cute next to our "motorcycle Santa" pictures (we dressed in our motorcycle leathers head-to-toe, and went to the mall for the photo - Santa even wore a nice dark pair of sunglasses for the photo) so we went on down and asked if we could.

They said "Sure!", so we donned some of their gear, hopped into a swimming pool with the temp cranked up to 95 degrees, waited for one other couple to get their photo, then sat down with Santa, at about 10 feet deep, and waved for the camera. The photos turned out darling! I will try to scan one and see if I'm able to post it for all of you to see.

Santa's hat kept trying to float away, but otherwise all went Very well!
What a great time!

Our shop has had a scuba with Santa for a couple of years now. Our Santa wears a strap under his chin and we sewed a washer disk in the front and back of the hat. It does not keep the top of the hat from floating but it helps keep it on. We learned after the first year and his hat kept floating away. We always have a boy scout group that will come in during the Santa. It a crazy day. We also get kids who think its a swim with Santa. The guy will chat with the kids once he up. That's makes them happy.

Vegas

Can't wait to see the picture.

One of the inland dive sites we use around the UK sets up a Christmas tree every year. The tree actually plays "Jingle Bells" under water.

Quite novel when you first get into the water but it is amazing how far the sound travels (I know, Open Water physics - the underwater world, blah, blah, blah) and after a while you find the tune is becoming really monotonous.

The drive home is horrendous because you can't seem to shake that tune!!
