Default Whoops, guess what I forgot?

Every have this moment while unpacking at the dive or training site. I have had one recently. I forgot my bathing suit. I figured, it's ok, I'll wear my wetsuit. I just kept reminding my self not to unzip. I was talking with some of my fellow instructors and found I was not alone in this moment. One of our guys recently showed up to teach with out a mask, fins or snorkel.

I sure there are other Whoops moments, so what else have some of you forgotten?

So far I've luckily only forgotten little things - a towel on a sunny day (no big deal), and lip balm (ouch!). however....

Yesterday were driving home from the lake (played hookie to go diving - don't tell my boss) and I realized I didn't have my dive watch. Thank heavens it wasn't a computer, just a watch, but I REALLY liked it.

I called and left a voice-mail for the boat Captain in case he comes across it.

Then I checked my messages.
Message #1 was from my friend at my LDS saying that he couldn't remember if I was interested in buying a dive watch, but he wanted to let me know that he got several new ones in if I was interested. I swear it's true.

I wonder if it's telepathy? or a conspiracy? or a highly developed sense of smell?? hmmmm... (insert "Twilight Zone" music here) LOL!

I was on a dive trip to Florida a couple of years ago and forgot my ditchable weight pockets. I had to use a weight belt and, since I have practically no butt, tie it with a loop of rope to my cumberbun.
Only lost one belt.

Drove six hours down the motorway only to find that I had left my dive bag with everything I needed in the hallway at home! No suit, no BCD, no regulators, fins, mask, snorkel, or weight harness. But I did remember my cylinders.

No big deal, everyone has done that at some time. Haven't they????........................

My husband lives under the no talk rule while I am packing. I have found if I don't have time to run a mental check list a least once I will forget something. The poor guy will take the blame if he was asking questions that could have waited until I was done. He has found it easier just to ask are you packing for scuba, if yes, he'll say it can wait, if no then its o.k.

Remember back to a few trips, fins, dive boots, masks, undergarment for drysuit are a few of the missed items from various trips.

Wow! you mean I'm not the only one that has to do the "mental checklist" thing? My sweetheart (bless his heart), was trying to encourage me to hurry one day when I was running through the checklist in my head - poor guy got told that if he kept distracting me by asking me to hurry, then I would have to start all over.
