Default Beuchat vs - Venturi System

I'm looking at buying an old Beuchat reg setup, I think it's from '91 or so, does anyone have any experiences with this reg, good or bad? and are parts still easy to find for it? Thank you

Beuchat is still a big player and manufactures a lot of stuff sold under their own and other brand names. My isolation manifold is made by them and I believe my DiveRite Hurricane reg is as well. I also have a "no name" first stage I believe to be theirs.

As for your question, I would ask a repairman. Some parts are pretty generic, others are not. I have no experience with that particular reg.

I called 2 LDS's today, one was unfamiliar with the company, the other said that no one in the US services that brand anymore. Should I take what they said to heart? Also I asked if repair parts from other regs would work for the Beuchat, the technician said that wouldn't work either. Anybody know if he's right or not.

I just made a quick google on Beuchat Regulators in the US. Just about went off the scale, so I would guess that your last piece of advice was not correct at all.

Lots of stores sell Beuchat gear so it stands to reason that there must be servicing agents across the US.

Good luck.

Beuchat is basically out of buisness here in the states you can still find people to repair most of the regs but factory parts are hard to come by, there is an outfit in florida called island scuba that has bought out all the spares from cochran computers, I had to call them to get tha spares to rebuild my Beuchat.
good luck

The web site for Island Scuba is 123scuba.cxx

More bad 411 from a poster.
Beuchat's computer line wasn't bought out by Cochran.
They were bought out by ScubaPro.
I still have an older CX2000 and there's no mistaken the design is similar to Uwatec computers all the way down to the "send it to the factory for a multi million dollar battery change"

Man, I really hate that stuff! The first thing I check is if the battery is user replaceable, if not, no sale.
