Smile Does it exist?

I heard of dive rope that glows in the dark. I can't seem to find it online, I checked ebay, Amazon and a few other online shopping meccas and to no avail. Does it exist? If so, can anyone here tell this newbie where to get it?

Thanks!

Haven't heard of such a thing. I do know that they make high vis yellow and orange lines for wreck/cave reels check out Dive Rite Express.

In the technical rescue/fire industry I have seen two versions of a glow in the dark rope. One is a 1/2" diameter life safety rope which has reflective material in the sheath. When you shine a light on it, it glows. The other is an rope which has small light bulbs in it which are powered by an external source. This line is used for searching buildings so the firefighters can easily see the line and find their way out. I am not sure if it can be submerged.

I've never seen anything like that myself, but as an alternate idea, you could easily tie on some submersible glow sticks on the acent/decent line. It would probably be more effective than a glowing rope.... glow sticks would stand out really well. Just an idea.

I'm with glyneco . Haven’t heard of one. If your night diving tie a glow stick to the anchor line about 10 feet from the bottom. This should help in finding it. Good Luck on your search. Let us know if you find one.
