Equipment Bags (not made for diving) After getting my diving ticket this year and picking up a package deal on dive equipment (which I'll be making write ups for later on) I went out and pick up a hockey bag to transport my equipment around.
I spent about $35cdn. The bag has two wheels, a hard bottom to it, there are good size side pockets as well as pockets on either end.
(When I make my comparison, I’m basing it on a scuba bag one of my friends pick up, and paid over $150cdn for it)
Advantage
-Lots of room for everything
-Easy to move around with it having wheels
-Nicely made, strong material.
Disadvantage
-Really heavy when loaded (wheels are a must have)
-Not to easy to clean after a day of diving (sand in bottom, stone, etc)
-O.K. protection of the equ. Due to the soft sides you still have to wrap stuff up.
-Everything fits with room to spare but don’t expect things to stay the way they were packed.
-Big and bulky when picking it up to carry.
Over all I think I hockey bag does the trick and I would still go out and buy another one before spending the big $$ on a scuba bad.
