Hey Dalehall,

I saw the fins at Our World Underwater in Chicago. The guy walked around with the fins up on the show room floor and then quickly snapped them in place for use. It looked like a large pair of boots. It also did not seem to interfer with his walking. My only question is how well will the fins stay in place if under strong currents.

That's what I was wondering.. You get in a situation where you need to fin pretty hard and they fold up on you. Not a cheery thought.

Let's see.....If I keep adding potential failure points does that make my diving easier? better? SAFER? This just seems to be a bad idea.

They do seem to solve the problem of walking with fins on, but I'll reserve judgement until they've been around for a while. Let 'em get beat up good and see how they work.

BTW...if you nose around on the web site you'll find a contest to win a free pair. That's the only way I'd get them at this early stage.

I agree to what you guys have said about the strong currents being a problem. As for me, I have no problem in just taking off my fins before i get out of the water.

I had a response on one of the other forums I'm on by a guy that has not only used them, he's the Southeast Sales rep for them.. He seems to really like them.. But, I'm with Glynneco, just another point of failure as far as I'm concerned. Not to mention, I've heard they are going to retail for around $280!!!
