I want to get a Hoseless computer and my choice is between those two:
Oceanic VT3 and Suunto Vytec DS.
The Oceanic is a new model while the Suunto is on the market for a few years.
The Oceanic is a great deal at Leisurepro for 675$ with the transmitter and the software included and I have my instructor selling the Suunto with the transmitter for 400$ but I will have to buy the software my self which is a 100$.
So let me know what you think.

IMHO, you should stay away from wireless entirely. Get something with a hose or, better yet, a mechanical SPG. While wireless seems advanced and, let's face it, has a big "bling" factor, nothing is more reliable than a mechanical gage.

i cant say anything about the Suunto but we do sell the VT3. i dont own it but i wish i did. its got a range of about 6ft with is more then enough even if you want to check your buddies air. its very clear to read and easy to navigate. also check out the atom 2.0 if you want something smaller

I would go with the Suunto it has been around and is very reliable. I would trust something that has been around for a while.
