Default online reviews?

I am looking for a website that has helpful reviews on gear. I am about to drop some money so I want to make sure that I know what I am getting myself into before I buy. I am not looking for specific brands just a general all inclusive site.

Scuba Diving magazine has some good reviews each month.. They also list a few of them on their website: http://www.scubadiving.com/gear
Are you trying to make up your mind on gear or have you already decided and want to see what others think of it?

A little bit of both actually. Here are a few of the things I was considering

Cressi Sub J101 Flight Control System Buoyancy Compensator

Cressi-Sub Airtech Piston AC 10 Regulator

I am most concerned about getting the best regulator I can for around 250 or less. I am not going to be diving all year around so I dont need a 1200 regulator.

Here's a site with a lot of reviews by users and other info:

IMHO..Scuba Diving mag tends to push stuff from their advertisers, although they deny it. If you look around you can find plenty of sites with more unbiased opinions. And posting about what brands/models you are interested in can often get a response from someone who already uses it.

I was unware of that.. Although, now that you mention it, there are a lot of manufacturers that get left out of SDM's tests.. I don't think I've ever seen a Dive Rite setup in there.. Thanks for the insight..
