Default Regulators - The correct one

Ok, i know there are some regulators that work well in colder water, some that work better in fresh water then salt water and so on. By my question is, what makes these regs work better in thier specfic enviroment, i mean what features do they have to help them preform better.

I don't know about fresh vs. salt water, but cold water regs either come from the factory built to resist freeze-ups or have a cold water kit installed.

if you want a cold water reg, look for one that is "environmentally sealed". i dive an Apeks ATX 200 and my girlfriend uses a Aqualung Titan Supreme.

Default environmentally sealed regs

The water needs to be very cold to need environmentally sealed valves. temps need to be below 2-3 deg but they should be more reliable as they are sealed.
