Pet Peav!
Time and time again I see people drying the dust cap with the cyclinder air (dumb!!!), your taking high pressure and blowing water at the very thing your trying to keep dry. Use a towel. I will also see people blowing air at the first stage itself and not evening drying the dust cap. I can be found telling my students this is the laziest and closest to the dumbest thing you can do if your trying to take care of your reg, if not blow away. |
So there is something to it then, Mama. The idea is just to keep the water out of the Reg. It seems to be nothing more then a spring pressure ball valve, hmmm good to know.
My Instructor told us to do the drying thing with the cyclinder air on the dust cap, I always found that even after doing that it would still be wet so I would take my towel and dry it off that way.
I wonder way someone hasn't come up with a better way of capping it yet. This DVT thing seems to be a good idea, but just in general have a better way. Like a sleeve or some sort of device that you can just place on as soon as you came of the water. It really is no big deal its just a madder of taking your time and being careful but never the less, hmmm
