| Tank Dolly/Carrier? When toting around your tank from boat to boat, what do you folks use as carriers or dollies? What do you think of fitting a steel 100 into the Akona roller bag? |

| I picked up a hand truck and tie-down strap at Ace hardware. Works like a charm. I would not try stuffing a tank into a rolling bag: too likely to damage your other gear even if it fit.

Total haul, all-in-all, is about 1 mile (one way), not just the parking lot to the boat. I need to develop a system for this trip. |

| Garden centers have these green mesh wagons with inflatable tires. I've seen them at Home centers for sale. Some of the boats I've been on have them for divers to cart their tanks from the parking lot to the dock. The mesh makes them easy to chain so they don't disappear while you're in the water. I'd seriously consider a water taxi (any one with a boat big enough to transport the stuff to the beach for a fee or a case or 2 of beer) Other wise you need a support team (non-diving friends or those guys who hang out at home depot)to help schlep the gear. Put a tank on the BC, don it like a backpack, shoulder the other tank with one hand a drag a roller duffle with the other.
My last idea is find another dive site!
I hope it's worth all the effort! I'd tell you to bring a camera and take pictures but that just seems a cruel suggestion. I would like to see a dive report though

| Yeah, there must be a better way than schlepping all that stuff by yourself. Unlike Glyn, I would love to see pics.

| Well, two days of looking back through old magazines but I found the cart.
I had seen it advertised, I have not used it but thought it looked good.
The website is www.randivecart.com. Give them a look, one know there is one other type of cart but I have not been able to find the ad. Let me know what you think and if you get one.

| Well, not bad but, I just came back from a Catalina dive with my group and one of us had the small tank dolly from "All Thnigs Scuba" in Lake Forest, CA. AWESOME! Make especially for tanks. It's just like an airport suitcase thing or more narrow - great! |
