Default Vista Campatable Computer

I recently bought a Oceanic Pro Plus 2 diving computer, but to my amazement after that kind of money it is not Vista compatable. I have sent them 3 email trying to find out IF/WHEN they are issuing a patch for this. But after a month I have not heard anything from them. So, I sent them a final email saying I will return their product for another manufactor if they can not answer my question. Now my question to y'all is: Does ANYONE make a dive computer that is Vista compatable to where I can download my dive data onto my laptop?

Beats me. I'm a network admin, and I'm staying away from Vista until they release the first service pack.

I wish I could have, but my other laptop completely crashed on me like a week after Vista was introduced. And NO ONE around here had an XP machine.

It's always a battle for any manufacturer of software when Microsoft goes and makes changes.... Oceanic makes their software a free download from their site, and you can rest assured that they are working on getting versions that work with the very glitchy vista. It's just a matter of a bit of time.

I have software I wrote, that work on some vista machines, and not others... it's a constant head butt.

I'm a Microsoft certified engineer, and I firmly believe that it should be the other way around: MS should make the sucker totally backward compatable. But we know who the 800 pound gorilla is in this scenario.
